| Description |
The regulator across Anjarakandy River at Parapram in Pinarayi Panchayath is proposed in view of
preventing saltwater intrusion into about 1200 acres of land spread in Pinarayi, Vengad, Ancharakandy and
Peralasseri villages and to use the fresh water on upstream side of the regulator for irrigation. The
implementation of the project will solve the drinking water scarcity in this area and in similar other areas in
the basin. The Regulator connects Peralassery and Pinarayi panchaths by means of foot bridge .it plays a
major role by assuring the drinking water availability provided by the KWA pumping stations at Keezzhallur . |
